This data accompanies the Prochaska et al. (2019) paper "The low density and magnetization of a massive galaxy halo exposed by a fast radio burst"

Two kinds of data are present: visibility datasets and images. These are described separated below.

## ASKAP vibility datasets

These are produced by the DiFX correlator (Deller et al., 2011, PASP, 123, 275) and are in FITS-IDI format. They can be imported and processed using the latest version of the AIPS or CASA software packages.

9 visibility datasets are presented. The filenames and corresponding dataset names are given below. See Prochaska et al. (supplementary material) for a more detailed description of each dataset, and the processing undertaken.

1. FRB181112_CALIBRATOR.FITS: The FRB calibrator dataset
2. FRB181112_GATE.FITS: The FRB gated dataset
3. FRB181112_FIELD.FITS: The FRB continuum field dataset
4. FRB181112_HTB_B##.FITS: The FRB high time resolution datasets. Each timestep is stored in a separate FITS file, with 30 timesteps (indicated by B01, B02, etc) spanning 30x0.054 = 1.62ms
5. FRB181112_RFI.FITS: The FRB RFI subtraction dataset
6. FRB181112_HIGHTIMERFI.FITS: The FRB high time resolution RFI subtraction dataset
7. VELA_CALIBRATOR.FITS: The Vela calibrator dataset
8. VELA_GATE.FITS: The Vela gated dataset
9. VELA_RFI.FITS: The Vela RFI subtraction dataset

## ASKAP images

For convenience, we have also provided several of the final images produced from the ASKAP data. These are produced from the datasets listed above after the data reduction steps described in Prochaska et al. (2019) paper.

1. FRB181112_REWEIGHTED_CLEAN_I.FITS: The FRB image (Stokes I) produced from the FRB gated dataset after RFI subtraction (i.e., a weighted subtraction of dataset #5 from dataset #2). Prior to imaging, the dataset was weighted by the signal-to-noise ratio as a function of frequency, as described in the text.
2. FRB181112_FIELD_CLEAN_I.FITS: The Stokes I image of the background radio sources, from the RFI-free regions of spectrum of the FRB continuum field dataset (dataset #3 above).

## Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) images

Observations of the FRB field were conducted using ATCA to search for persistent compact radio source and for astrometric corrections to the FRB position.
1) ATCA_FRB181112_FIELD.FITS : Radio image of the field of FRB at 6.5 GHz

# Astrometry observations at 2100 MHz.
1) ATCA calibrator 2117-642: ATCA_2117-642.FITS
2) SUMMS 2151-5316 source with gain solutions derived from 2117-642: ATCA_2151-5316_2117.FITS
3) ATCA calibrator 2215-508: ATCA_2215-508.FITS
4) SUMMS 2151-5316 source with gain solutions derived from 2215-508: ATCA_2151-5316_2215.FITS
